The information contained in this Site, including but not limited to the rules that govern the use of the Site, may be subject to change. The date of the latest change(s) to these Terms and Conditions is set out above at "Last Updated". Your use of the Site following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the rules, as changed. Any such change(s) will not affect the terms of sale applicable to orders accepted by us prior to the date of such change(s).
2-Standard Fees Policy
This Fees Policy explains your fees and taxes when using Eczemaland and it is a part of our seller’s Terms and Conditions. By opening an Eczemaland shop, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms and Conditions.
2-1-Types of Fees
Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees.
Please note that all fees displayed on this page are listed exclusive of any value - added tax (VAT) that may apply.
No listing fees applied & no monthly subscription fees until April 2021.
From May 1st, 2021, you will be charged a listing fee of £0.14 for each item that you list on Eczemaland.com. You will only be charged a listing fee for creating or renewing a listing on Eczemaland; there is no fee for editing a listing. You will be charged a listing fee whether or not the listed item sells.
Eczemaland.com listings expire after four months. If you list multiple quantities of the same item, the initial listing fee will be £0.14, and the listing will be automatically renewed at £0.14 after each of the items sells.
- If you decide to list a higher quantity than 1, you'll only be charged for listing the multiple quantities when you sell them.
- Your listing will automatically renew if someone buys a portion of your listing quantity, but some of the quantity is left over. You'll be charged the renewal fee, and your listing will remain for sale in your shop.
- If you sell more than 1 item in an order, you've already been charged for listing that first item. We only charge you £0.14 each for the extra quantity you sell.
Note: In general, it's a good idea to list the true quantity of the number of items you have in stock when you create a listing. If you're selling made-to-order items, make sure you only list the number of items you can feasibly create during your production time.
Listing fees are reflected in your payment account and deducted at the time the listing is published or renewed. It's important to note that listing fees are non-refundable.
Auto-renew. Eczemaland’s automatic renewals feature will automatically renew your listings at the end of the four-month listing period, unless you choose to not use automatic renewals for a particular listing or for your shop. You will be charged the listing fee of £0.14 for each of these listings until you cancel automatic renewals. You can see automatic listing status in your Listings Dashboard, and may cancel automatic renewals at any time by selecting “Manual” instead of “Automatic” in the “Renewal Options” in the Listings Dashboard. Once you cancel, you will only be charged for the current listing period.
When you make a sale through Eczemaland.com, you pay 10% of the final sale price, including the amount you charge for shipping, gift wrapping.
If your item doesn't sell you usually don't pay a transaction fee. However, if you offer or reference your contact information to another user or ask a client for their contact information, in the context of buying or selling outside of Eczemaland, we charge a transaction fee for introducing you to the client. In this case, the transaction fee is based on the price identified between the client and seller.
If you sell from the US or Canada, Eczemaland recommends to include the Goods and Services Tax ("GST"), or Harmonised Sales Tax ("HST”) in your listing price.
The transaction fee will apply to the listing price (which should include any applicable taxes), the amount you charge for delivery and gift wrapping fee. If you offer optional personalisation for an additional fee, the additional fee for personalisation is added to the listing price you display and the total display price is subject to the same transaction fees described in this Section.
We recommend Eczemaland sellers to list their items in a currency identical to their payment account currency; see the Currency Conversion section below for more details on the transaction fee.
See the Taxes section below for more information about whether you are required to include applicable taxes in your listing prices. Transaction fees are deducted from your current balance as each sale occurs, and are reflected in your payment account.
Eczemaland sellers with basic accounts may opt-in to Eczemaland Upgrade, a subscription package offering an expanded set of tools for growing brands. The fee for an Eczemaland Upgrade subscription is £7 per month. Eczemaland Upgrade subscription fees are deducted from your current balance each month and reflected in your payment account. Where applicable, Eczemaland will charge sales tax on your monthly subscription fee for sellers located in the United States.
If your payment method fails or your account is overdue, we reserve the right to limit or suspend the services which Eczemaland provides to you.
Auto-renew. Subscription fees will be added to your payment account on the same day every month in your domestic currency. For example, if you sign up on 6th April, your subscriptions fees will be added on 6th May, 6th June, and so on. When you sign up at the end of the month, your subscription fees will be charged to your payment account on the last day of the month. For example, if you sign up on 31st August, your subscription fees will be added on 30th September because that is the last day of the month. You can cancel your Eczemaland Upgrade subscription anytime by visiting the Your Subscription section of your Shop Dashboard’s Settings. You will have access to your Eczemaland Upgrade subscription until the end of that subscription cycle, and your final day of access will be identified in the Your Subscription dashboard. After your Eczemaland Upgrade subscription has ended, your shop will return to Eczemaland basic, and you will no longer have a subscription fee added to your payment account. While you are subscribed to Eczemaland Upgrade, you are provided with the following credits each subscription cycle:
22 listing credits, which are visible as £3 in listings credit in your payment account
£4 in Eczemaland Ads credits, which are visible in your payment account and on your advertising management page.
You must use the credits during the subscription cycle, otherwise they expire. Credits will not roll over month to month. They will be reset and replenished at the beginning of each subscription cycle.
D-Payment Processing Fees
No payment Processing Fees, included to Transaction fees
These are the current shipping fees applied at Eczemaland
- Standard Delivery in the UK: £3.20
- Tracked Delivery in the UK: £4
Eczemaland converts fees from Pound Sterling to your payment account currency at the market rate at the time the fee is reflected in your payment account. All fees appear in your payment account in your domestic currency.
Transaction fee: If you list your items in a currency other than that of your payment account, the transaction fee on the price you display for each listing plus the amount your charge for shipping and gift wrapping will be converted to your payment account currency at the market rate and reflected in your payment account.
To avoid incurring foreign exchange charges on your sales, Eczemaland recommends you list your items in the same currency as your payment account currency. Clients see the items in the currency of their choosing.
2-3- Fee Avoidance
Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Eczemaland. This includes, for example,
- Encouraging clients to purchase an item in your Eczemaland shop through another venue.
- A transaction initiated on Eczemaland may not be completed off of Eczemaland,
- The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale,
- Sellers may not alter the item's price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding Eczemaland transaction fees,
- Misrepresent the item’s location,
- Or use another user's account without permission.
2-4- Paying your Eczemaland Fees
Eczemaland will automatically deduct all fees owed from your payment account. Provided you have sufficient funds in your payment account no further payment action is required. If your payment account does not contain sufficient funds you are responsible for paying any fees owed in full within 15 days of the date of your monthly statement, or the account will be considered past due, and Eczemaland may charge your card on file or take other actions to collect funds. If you make a sale while you have an outstanding balance the net sale amount will be applied to your outstanding balance. You may pay your outstanding balance manually by credit card, debit card, or PayPal.
Your statement is available in your payment account at the beginning of each month, and will detail all sales and fees activity from the preceding month.
Eczemaland may suspend your selling privileges at any time pending payment of your outstanding balance.
You are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through Eczemaland’s services.
We recommend sellers to include applicable taxes in their listing prices. Please note that while some countries may refer to VAT using other terms, e.g. GST, we'll just refer to VAT, GST, and any local sales taxes collectively as "VAT" unless the context requires otherwise.
Where Eczemaland is required to collect sales tax/VAT on your behalf, Eczemaland will use the category you assigned to each listing to calculate, collect and remit the applicable taxes. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all of your listings are properly categorised, and you agree to indemnify Eczemaland for any losses it incurs in connection with any miscategorisation of your listings by you.
Please remember that Eczemaland's fees do not include any withholding taxes that might apply in your home country. You are required to pay Eczemaland the full amount of our fees and may not deduct any applicable withholding taxes from that amount.
Please also note that some countries require Eczemaland to apply VAT on the fees that you may be charged in accordance with this policy, and that the fees listed in this policy are exclusive of VAT.
3-Cooling off periods
According to the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers (buyers) can withdraw from most distance transactions with business sellers within a set time frame ('cooling off period') without penalty and without giving any reason. When creating your return policy, be sure to include the following: The time period that a buyer has to notify you that they want to cancel the transaction, how the refund is issued and who pays the return postage.
Making your listings available internationally is easy and can help you grow your business by getting items in front of buyers worldwide.
When you offer international shipping in your listings, your items are available automatically to buyers outside your country, with no additional fees. You need to make sure that the item you're listing can legally be sold in other countries, as the applicable laws may be different to your own country. International buyers will be able to see where your location is, and that you'll ship to their country.
5-Receiving payments from international buyers
If the buyer pays in a different currency, the payment will be converted to the currency of your payouts. As currency values can change, it’s important to note that the currency exchange rate will be captured at the time of sale and can be viewed in the order details. This exchange rate will apply in the event of a refund.
